Thomas surged into the lead late in the round with a birdie after a brilliant recovery shot from the trees, then held steady through the closing holes as challengers mounted pressure. Throughout the afternoon, players attacked the firm Harbour Town greens and tricky coastal winds. Highlights included Sungjae Im driving the short par-4 ninth for eagle, Jordan Spieth producing a spectacular hook shot from the trees to set up birdie, and several contenders—Shane Lowry, Mackenzie Hughes, and Tommy Fleetwood—making key birdies to stay within striking distance. The tournament came down to the 18th hole, where Thomas Novak had an eight-foot birdie putt for the win but missed, opening the door for Thomas. Moments later, Justin Thomas drained a 21-foot putt to seal the victory and claim the tartan jacket, returning to the winner’s circle after a tense finish at one of the PGA Tour’s most historic venues.
